Colored pencil seems like it would be quite the complement with oil pastels, haven't seen that type of mix-media too many places.  Good choice of mediums.  Any strictly oil pastels only?

The prismacolor pencils actually will blend with oil pastels. They are wax based I believe and using oil pastels for base colors and shading you can use the colored pencils to do fine details and add darker or lighter blended in to deepen or lighten shading. I do a few strictly pastel works once in a while. This piece is strictly oils no pencils.

I plan on doing a few more in the future when I get some time.

You're welcome if you decide to try it don't get discouraged. A little bit of experimenting and practice goes a long way. And I have found that even the less expensive oil pastels can take on a different look and great for practice especially if you have a tight art budget. I used the cheap Mungyo oil pastels which are about three dollars for a set of 12 or around 40 cents for singles

I may give the colored pencils I try one of these days though haven't used them in ages.  Lately I've been looking into getting a oil pastel set of Sennelier, Holbein, or Garich...

I do quite a bit of mood changing myself. It is fun to try the different mediums. The only one I still cant get a feel for is watercolors. Though once in a while I give them a shot.

Thank you! I actually made larger ones but when I photographed them they looked too pixelated to post.
